Description

Our tall green pitcher is hand thrown and darted  to create the unique shape. By cutting away part of a thrown piece and then sealing the wall back together you achieve the dart. The glaze on this piece has an extremely unique reaction that has given the piece texture as well as a variety of classic shino effects. This piece can hold liquid and be used for your next get together as well as serve as a decorative installation in the home.

Handmade in San Francisco.

Oven, Microwave, and Dishwasher safe.

This tall green pitcher takes a few steps to attain the unique shape. I throw the piece on the wheel and do my best to make sure it needs minimal trimming. Once leather hard, the top is modified and I also cut a tear drop shape from one side of the piece. When the clay is removed I join the piece back together in order to achieve the unique dart feature. Like some of my other pieces, this tall green pitcher has an unique glaze reaction to get the colors.
